Wide and ultrawide monitors
Only needed if the game refuses to start on a large screen and shows «Cannot init d3d OR grf file has problem». The client draws through DirectX 7, and that old library cannot handle modern wide resolutions such as 3840×1080 or 2560×1440. The limit is in the library, not in your graphics card — this package works around it.
Unpack it next to AvalonRo.exe, then open Setup.exe,
pick the dgVoodoo entry under «Graphics Device»,
choose your resolution and tick Play in Full Screen.

How to Get Started
- Create your account — register here.
- Download the client from this page.
- Check the downloaded file against the MD5 above — a 4 GB download that broke halfway looks exactly like a broken game.
- Unpack the archive into a folder with no special characters in its path — plain Latin letters, digits and underscores only.
- Run the game launcher as administrator.
- Log in with your account and pick the server.
