The NPC only responds at night (isnight) and only if Nice Sweet Potato (627) and Well-baked Cookie (538) are in the inventory — those two items are not taken, they simply act as a pass. The quest has 4 stages (yribbon variable). After the ribbon is handed over the variable resets to 0, so the quest can be repeated.<br />
