Andrew has spent a long time trying to kill you and losing, and he finally breaks down and asks why you are so strong. Admit that you live on +10 food and he will trade one of his Shark Hats for a cooking lesson.

Walkthrough

Stage 1 — Andrew

Location: alberta 64,115

Talk to Andrew and answer politely all the way through: "But you will use it to kill me!", "Fine, but you stop attacking me!", "I'm using +10 Food", "Yes." He then asks which dish to teach him. Pick one of "Steamed Tongue", "Dragon Breath Cocktail" or "Hwergelmir's Tonic", and answer "Make" when he asks how to get it. He says he wants to make at least 10 of them and that he will supply the Cookbook and the Fantastic Cooking Kit.

Stage 2 — Andrew

Location: alberta 64,115

Come back with the ingredients for the dish you chose and answer "Yes". Andrew cooks one batch per full ingredient set, up to 11 attempts per conversation, and each attempt has a 50% chance to succeed. Repeat the visit until he has 10 successful dishes; on the tenth he eats one, feels the stat boost and hands you the hat.

Bring:

  • Recipe 1 "Steamed Tongue", per cooking attempt: 2x Blue Potion, 5x Royal Jelly, 2x Aloevera, 10x Yggdrasil Leaf, 1x Alcohol, 20x Tongue, 1x Spicy Sauce, 1x Pot
  • Recipe 2 "Dragon Breath Cocktail", per cooking attempt: 10x Blue Herb, 5x Aloe Leaflet, 5x Royal Jelly, 5x Lemon, 5x Prickly Fruit, 1x Yggdrasil Berry, 1x Singing Plant, 10x Maneater Root
  • Recipe 3 "Hwergelmir's Tonic", per cooking attempt: 4x Royal Jelly, 2x Prickly Fruit, 1x Yggdrasil Berry, 3x Concentration Potion, 1x Illusion Flower, 5x Alcohol, 10x Ice Cubic, 10x Bacillus
  • 10 successful dishes are required, so bring the chosen set multiplied by 20 or more

Receive: Shark Hat

Notes

Every attempt is a coin flip (rand(2)) and a full ingredient set is consumed whether it succeeds or fails, so 10 successes cost about 20 sets on average. The cooking loop runs at most 11 times per conversation, so finishing in one visit is practically impossible - expect several trips. Once you pick a recipe the choice is stored in the FC variable and cannot be changed until the hat is handed over; answering "Buy" instead of "Make" still locks the recipe in. If you do not carry at least one complete set, Andrew only says "You're missing something" and will not report progress. Progress is kept in FS and both FC and FS reset to 0 after the reward, so the quest is repeatable. Rude answers are punished: "No, I can't." costs 20% of your HP, and "No, I'm just spending your time." triggers 101 consecutive 1% HP hits. No class or level requirement.
