- Mei Mei is far too shy to say anything more than "ehhh... so embarrassing.." before shooing you away. Her companion Tohno is a Kappa, a water spirit, and he is furious that turtles calling themselves Kaphas keep dressing up like him.
Walkthrough
Stage 1 — Mei Mei
Location: amatsu 261,271
Talk to Mei Mei first. She gets embarrassed and asks you to go away. This single conversation is what unlocks Tohno.
Stage 2 — Tohno
Location: amatsu 261,268
Talk to Tohno. He apologises for Mei Mei, insists he is a Kappa and not a turtle, and asks you to bring him 500 Yellow Plates from the Kaphas that imitate him.
Stage 3 — Tohno
Location: amatsu 261,268
Return to Tohno once you have gathered 500 Yellow Plates and hand them over. He grants you the Spirit Blessing and says he will put in a good word with Mei Mei.

Notes
Order matters: if you speak to Tohno before Mei Mei he only says "Mei Mei is so shy.." and nothing starts. Yellow Plate drops from Kapha. Progress is stored in the Soulring variable and ends at 3, which is never reset, so the quest can only be completed once per character. As an epilogue, Mei Mei will thank you for helping Tohno before jumping into a barrel.
