- Bella sits alone in Hugel: her father and brother left for the huge green forest two days ago to hunt beasts and never came back. What waits in the Payon fields is a dying man, a son the wolves left nothing of, and a funeral you will end up arranging.
Walkthrough
Stage 1 — Bella
Location: hugel 63,81
Listen to Bella and answer 'Sure, I'll do my best!'. She only knows they went to a 'huge green forest'.
Stage 2 — Dave
Location: pay_fild02 199,123
Find Bella's badly wounded father. Choose 'Revenge!' or 'Healing!' — he then lists the items for the branch you picked.
Stage 3 — Dave
Location: pay_fild02 199,123
Come back with the items for your branch. Dave takes them, feels better, and makes you memorise the message for his daughter.
Bring:
- Revenge branch: 600x Wolf Claw, 15x Wolf Card, 1x Desert Wolf Card
- Healing branch: 10x Steamed Tongue (Str_Dish10), 5x Yggdrasil Berry, 200x Shrimp, 5x White Chocolate, 70x Aloevera
Stage 4 — Bella
Location: hugel 63,81
Talk to Bella and type the message into the input box word for word: Bella, Colin got killed by the wolves here in the forest. She breaks down, then asks for help with the burial and lists what she needs.
Stage 5 — Bella
Location: hugel 63,81
Deliver the funeral goods. Bella takes everything and asks you to bring her father and her brother's body to Hugel.
Bring:
- 1,000x Rotten Bandage
- 40x Forbidden Red Candle
- 20x Peach Cake (Dex_Dish06)
- 15x Peridot
- 10x Wrath of Valkyrie
Stage 6 — Dave
Location: pay_fild02 199,123
Go back for Dave and find that he has died. You decide to at least carry his son's remains back — they are 'up there'.
Stage 7 — Colin
Location: pay_fild02 198,131
Examine what the wolves left of Colin. The remains whisper that everything is gone except his spirit, and that it is not far away.
Stage 8 — Colin's Spirit
Location: pay_fild05 116,368
Track the spirit down in the northern Payon field. 'Here, take this.. I don't need it anymore!'

Notes
One time per character (S_hatyay locks every NPC in the chain afterwards). Between Dave and Bella you must TYPE the pass phrase by hand, exactly: 'Bella, Colin got killed by the wolves here in the forest.' — any other text and the quest stalls. BUG in the Revenge branch: Dave only checks for 10 Wolf Cards but deletes 15, and the claws are deleted first, so with 10-14 cards you lose 600 Wolf Claw and the script dies without advancing — always carry at least 15 Wolf Card. BUG at Bella: S_itempart is never cleared, so if you talk to her again after she asks for the corpse she will demand and take a second full set of funeral items. Both Dave branches lead to exactly the same result, so pick the cheaper one for your character.
